Highlights from the Novato Police Department's calls for service from December 12 through December 16

Someone stole a FastTrack transponder out of an unlocked vehicle parked in the 100 block of California Condor Way on December 16.

Novato police assisted Oakland police in apprehending a suspect wanted for murder on December 16. The man was believed to be staying near downtown Novato and police served a search warrant on the home.

Police conducted a welfare check after a Novato resident reportedly posted a suicide note on Facebook December 16. Officers went to the man’s home, but could not find him there. The case was referred to the missing persons unit.

A former Lucas Films employee allegedly sent threatening emails to his former employer, saying that they “won’t be able to ignore” him for long. The person was warned by police to stay away from the Lucas Ranch.

A Honda Prelude was reported stolen while parked in the 300 block of Ignacio Boulevard on December 16.

Someone stole fuses from the fuse box of a car parked in the 1000 block of Ignacio Boulevard on December 15.

Maxwell Phillip Stachelrodt, 20, a Novato resident, was arrested on charges of burglary on December 14.

Stephanie Tresca-Archie, 25, from Sacramento, was arrested on charges of prostitution on December 14.

Wakefield Sharp, a Novato property management company, said that someone had jimmied their front door and accessed computers, installing pornography on December 13. Police are investigating the break in.

Police responded to a home in the 800 block of Wilmac Avenue on December 13 to conduct a welfare check on a woman. The woman said she was distraught over the recent death of her mother. Her grief and confusion was accentuated after she could not find her mother’s ashes and then saw her own name on the death certificate.

A stolen Nissan Maxima was found parked in the 8900 block of Redwood Highway December 12, with its window smashed. It was immediately clear what items, if any, were taken.

Police responded to the corner of Briarwood Court and Redwood Boulevard on December 12 after receiving reports of a person living in their car. A woman said she had been living there for at least two days and then asked for help after saying that she “had committed suicide last night.”

A resident who lives on Arnold Drive said that his wife keeps on receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be with the IRS. The caller then demands money.

A one gallon sized bag of marijuana was located at 27 Pamaron Way on December 12. The drug was booked for destruction.

Giorgia Ann Stark and Rebecca Vandercar, both 29 and residents of Novato, was arrested December 12 on charges of keeping a home of prostitution. The two lived in the 900 block of Reichert Avenue.
