Chona Killeen Leaving San Jose Middle School

The PTA announced to all parents on its email distribution list Friday morning that Principal Chona Killeen will not return to San Jose for the next school year.

I've uploaded a copy of the message sent to all parents. In the interest of full disclosure, let me point out that not only did I ask the PTA to send this message out, I drafted it at last night's meeting.

What is not mentioned in the message, but what I want to say emphatically, is that Chona Killeen will be sorely missed by me and mine. She has unequivocally stood up for all of her students. She led us through the disaster of . She has never wavered in her supporting of San Jose, its students, its staff and its community. I am sorry to see her go. Everyone should be.
