What Should Go Here?

In-N-Out Burger had looked at this parcel and the car care center next door for a new eatery. But now that they have passed on the location, what would be a good fit for the spot?

Remember when some of us were drooling over the possibility of an ?

For nearly a year, the chatter around town was about the burger joint with everyone wondering how soon before we could stop heading to Mill Valley or Petaluma for our fix.

The eatery was looking at two parcels that front Hwy 101 at 399 Entrada Drive and 400 Enfrente Road.

In-N-Out decided to pass on the location. But, there's still hope as company officials reportedly said that they are looking at other options in Novato.

But the question to Novato Patch readers is:

What do you think should go into the 1.1 acre site that was formerly a car care center and a garden shop?

Might as well just demo it and put a big fence around it because if anyone were to propose building something on the site the neighbors will just start complaining about traffic and noise.

Tot lot.

Edwin, nice to see you back on the Patch. You gone on a long vacation? The better question here is: Where should In-N-Out go now? I say near Redwood and Rowland or near Trader Joe's. Your pick?

We and my mother before us were steady long time customers of the California Bay Nursery, and the owner was ready to retire and took it as a good time to do so. competition had cut into his business, and yet it was a wonderful friendly palce to gte plants or have your fern repotted by a caring professional. We miss him! But it wasn't the drive-in's fault.

No kidding about the "employee parking" comment above. The soil is too contaminated for a restaurant or affordable housing development, maybe not even safe enough for a dog park. I say put a "Park & Ride" parking lot there. That way it can take overflow parking for the new train station across the street. Put the new In & Out Burger on part of the Rowland Park & Ride. There is way too much wasted space there.

It could be used as a Park and Ride lot. It's not as good as the ones at the other overpasses but it's better than nothing. As far as I know the Ignacio Exit and bus stop does not have one.
