Surplus Money ?

 ? $ 2 million surplus for a building replacement in Sleepy Hollow by their Fire District? Perhaps, ­­Novato’s Fire District has a surplus  to donate to the Novato Library , which could also be used as an emergency shelter as in Sleepy Hollow or  give money to the Novato Theater and it could be used as an emergency shelter and as an upscale library?     $ 49 a year will bring in about  $ 1.5 million  for the Library fund.  In 5 years that would be about  $ 7.5 million assuming there are 30, 000 home owners.  Will the money  voted for be used for paying off the pension liabilities of the employees,   or for building new facilities or ?? 

Also, the city wants to keep the sales tax for the next 5 years when it expires if more revenues are not forthcoming.  The city needs a plan for its pension liabilities and for more maintenance and safety officers. Lastly, the school district wants more money for our future scientists, mathematicians, and economists.    Keeping Novatoans well-read, safe and the town attractive helps  property values have a better chance of increasing while improving our quality of life.
