Patch Picks: Where to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Head to these hot spots for the Irish-themed holiday.

15 Rowland Way, Novato | 415-898-4677

For its self-proclaimed "biggest party of the year," Moylan's is offering up corn beef and cabbage, bagpipers at 8 p.m. (in kilts!), Irish stew and a bar full of partiers dressed in green — which should include YOU.

As in year's past, Pete's will be serving up their slow-roasted corn beef all day, with live music from the Yard Dogs in the evening. Just don't hit the poker tables after that third Irish carbomb!

1533 Fourth St, San Rafael | 415-456-1011

Straight from the Old World, the Mayflower is the destination pub in San Rafael (though it's technically an English institution) for all things St. Patrick's. Bring an empty stomach and a reserve of energy, and don't even think of not ordering a Guinness.

877 Grant Ave, Novato | 415-899-1516

Try your luck at Finnegan's, which will offer corned beef & cabbage, shepherd's pie, fish & chips and Dublin pot roast. The Courtney Janes take the stage at 9 p.m. You can't have a name like Finnegan's and not throw a rousing party on March 17.

848 B St, San Rafael | 415-454-5551

For the younger demographic, the Nickel Rose is the place to hear "Riverdance" on autotune. While the dress code is strictly enforced, there's always room to add a shamrock on somewhere.
