To Celebrate Life Breast Cancer Foundation brings the excitement of  Las Vegas in the 1960’s to Marin as they present their 18th annual gala and fashion show STEPPING OUT – VIVA LAS VEGAS! The Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser will feature 34 women and two men, all breast cancer survivors, as they walk the runway on Saturday, September 28th at the Marin Center Exhibit Hall, 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael. This evening of fine dining, fashion, dancing and outstanding live and silent auctions, is one of Marin County’s most anticipated galas. The event raises funds to support To Celebrate Life Breast Cancer Foundation’s grants program that distributes money to Bay Area nonprofit organizations providing direct services to people dealing with breast health issues. Tickets are $225 and may be purchased online at www.tocelebratelife.org or email steppingoutrsvp@tocelebratelife.org For more information call 415-455-5882.

Novato locals Brady Bevis, Barbara Brown, Michelle Camicia, Kristen Kane, Elizabeth Mee, and Suzanne Putman, all breast cancer survivors, will walk the runway at this year’s event.

Festivities begin at 5:30 pm with beverages at the Lady Luck cocktail lounge, along with the silent auction.  Guests will have the opportunity to bid on items such as getaways to Cavallo Point in Sausalito, Madrona Manor in Healdsburg, and L'Auberge Carmel, fine wines and theater tickets. Enjoy a gourmet dinner catered by McCalls and participate in a spirited Live Auction with Fund A Need.

The highlight of the evening is an amazing fashion show with breast cancer survivor models, escorted by prominent physicians from the medical community, on an emotional and uplifting walk down the runway. Models will wear fashions from UKO, Macy’s Northgate, Alice Becker, Eileen Fisher, West Coast Leather, and Helen Lyall. After dinner, let luck be a lady at the Lady Luck Casino with poker and card games.  High rollers welcome!  Rounding off the festivities is dancing to The Richard Olsen Orchestra.

This a wonderful event for a great cause. I was really impressed that 100% of proceeds go directly to women who can't afford mammograms, or need help in recovery. Hope to see you there.
