Meet Your Expanded San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch Team

San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch has added a new cadre of editors who are here to cover, connect and serve this community.

You’ve been coming to the San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch since we launched to get unique and quality and local reporting, engaging stories and video and place to connect and converse wit your community. Now there is a bigger team devoted to the San Anselmo – Fairfax Patch.

Local Editors Brent Ainsworth and Cate Lecuyer, as well as Associate Regional Editor Jim Welte will join Jessica Mullins in creating a team of journalists to bring the same caliber of content readers have come to expect on this site.

Here’s a bit about each of them:

  • Brent Ainsworth has been a professional journalist since 1987. He worked in various roles at the Marin Independent Journal for more than 14 years before he departed to launch Novato Patch in August 2010.
  • Jim Welte, who oversees the Patch sites in Marin, launched the Mill Valley Patch and spent two years as the local editor of the site. He has worked for the Marin Independent Journal and has had other stints covering music, business, sports and general assignment.
  • Cate Lecuyer has been an editor with Patch for more than three years and recently transferred to Marin from the Back Bay Patch in Boston. She spent six years working for newspapers across New England.
  • Your editor for the last eight months, Jessica Mullins, is sliding over to head the San Rafael Patch, but you’ll still see her around San Anselmo and Fairfax.

We need your help to make sure this site is a great community resource

San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch will continue to provide high-quality reporting and engaging stories and videos. But it’s also interactive, and we're hoping you will help us by providing fresh ideas, sharing community connections, and milk every last ounce of potential out of it.

News is no longer a one-way road in which us journalists only deliver content to you readers. Technology has changed that. This town is yours, and we're challenging you to play a role in the sharing of news and information.

Please get involved on San Anselmo - Fairfax Patch! There are plenty of ways:

We’ll always be here reporting on issues. But we don’t want you to just sit back and wait around while we do it. You’re sitting on too much valuable information, and we want you to know that this site is a landing place for all things San Anselmo and Fairfax – whether it be a government scandal, a little league game or an upcoming festival.

Bookmark this site right now and remember that the San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch community is just a few clicks away from you at all times.

It's a trick question! Jessica didn't take this local beach photo. Cameron Long gets credit for the shot.
