San Ramon's New Multi-Purpose Room is Officially Open!

The San Ramon community welcomes their new multi-purpose room.

The multi-purpose room at San Ramon Elementary School was officially opened Friday morning, May 10, to a crowd of students, parents, and staff.  Principal Andy Cline gave a special recognition to the Friends of San Ramon, a group of hard-working parents and staff who began raising money in the 1980s for a much-needed community room.  The Friends of San Ramon had a vision for the school and that vision became a reality nearly 30 years later.  Their fundraising efforts produced almost $20,000 which has funded the new audio visual equipment for the building.

San Ramon students, Selina and Ava Ruano, cut the ribbon as Mary Pritchard spoke of the history and the long-awaited opening of a mulit-purpose room for the school. Ms. Pritchard, former San Ramon principal and teacher, now has a grandchild at the school.

NUSD Trustees and staff attended along with representatives from GCCI, Inc., the contractor, Marshall/Lee, Inc., the architects, and Greystone West, the project managers.
