Pleasant Valley Elementary School Principal to Retire

Terry Gavin-Brown, Principal at Pleasant Valley Elementary School, announced that she will retire at the end of the 2012-13 school year.  Ms. Gavin-Brown joined Novato Unified School District in 2008 as the Principal at Pleasant Valley, replacing Pam Conklin. 

“I have really enjoyed PV, the students, parents and staff.  It was a difficult decision to make, stepping down from a career and school I love, but, after 38 years in education it is time,” commented Ms. Gavin-Brown.  “I plan to travel, write, read and further develop my skills in technology.”  

“Terry is an outstanding educational leader in our district and we’re going to miss her,” said Dr. Shalee Cunningham, Superintendent, Novato Unified School District.  “Over the next few weeks, we will begin the process of recruiting for this position,” added Pam Conklin, Director of Human Resources.
