  • Research shows that kids who hear from their parents about the risks of alcohol, are up to 50% less likely to drink.  But don't stop there!  Challenge the role alcohol plays in your life; at home, at social functions and family gathering. Is beer and wine flowing freely at family and social gatherings?  Consider the message that sends youth about how to celebrate – especially with prom and graduation season approaching.

We know the conversation can be difficult, but you don’t have to go it alone.  The “Time to Talk – Parent Talk Kit” website will give you tips on how to have ongoing conversations with your kids, to help keep them alcohol and drug free.  http://www.timetotalk.org/ParentTalkKit/
