It's been widely reported over the last couple of years that Chihuahuas, one of the most popular dog companions in our region, are increasingly crowding California animal shelters. In fact, estimates are that Chihuahuas make up to 30 percent or more of the dog populations in our state's shelters.
From Cutie Cronkhite to Handsome Herbert, the has a number of adorable Chihuahua and Chihuahua mixes available for adoption. These cuties may be small but they are packed with big hearts — and even bigger personalities. Why not kick-off the New Year with a new friend?
For a limited time the Humane Society is offering a reduced adoption fee of $50 for Chihuahuas. We're hoping that the reduced adoption fee is the perfect incentive to add a charming Chihuahua to your family.
