1. Potential November Funding Measure for Parks, Open Space, and Agricultural Preservation: Poll Results Considered and Next Steps Discussed

On May 15th, the Board directed staff to conduct a survey to test voter support for a proposed countywide sales tax increase, funding from which would be dedicated towards parks, open space and agricultural land preservation. After hearing a presentation on those survey results and testimony from the public, the Board directed staff to return on July 24th for a final decision as to whether such a measure will be placed on the ballot.

2. Tolling Agreement for Potential Housing Litigation Authorized

The Board entered into a "tolling agreement" in order to extend the statute of limitations for any potential legal challenge to the County's Housing Element, a document that is being actively worked on by County staff but which has not yet been approved by the State.
