On Friday, November 1, parents and community supporters attended “An Evening in Venice” the 6th annual dinner and auction fundraiser benefiting Marin Christian Academy and Noah's Ark Preschool in Novato. It was a fun-filled evening of gourmet food, entertainment, and charity.

The school was transformed for the evening into old Italy—complete with gondola rides and mandolin players. Authentic Italian cuisine was served by event sponsor Componere Fine Catering. Other sponsors included Aramark and Bank of Marin.

Supporters participated in a silent auction that opened a week before the event, as well as in the live-auction portion of the evening. Auctioneer, Skip Domingos kept the place lively as funds were raised for the school.

Money raised will go toward a new math curriculum for the elementary school and improvements to the preschool play yard. New to the auction this year was a special “Fund-a-Need” category where money was specifically raised for the school's technology needs and scholarships.
