Help Novato Kids Get into Fitness through NovatoSpirit Fundraiser

NovatoSpirit is a nonprofit that offers athletic scholarships to low-income youths.

Is one of your New Year’s resolutions to get in shape and make the world a better place?  If so, maybe you’d also like to help some of Novato’s low-income kids get physically fit.

NovatoSpirit, a nonprofit that offers athletic scholarships to low-income youth in Novato, invites the public to join its Valentine Bake-a-thon and Fundraiser Feb. 1-28. The person who mails in the most money will win a free 3-month Family Fitness Membership at Novato’s Rolling Hills Club, valued at $672.

Families can create their own bake sales and fundraisers—or simply make a donation—to raise money for NovatoSpirit’s athletic scholarships. Checks can be mailed to: NovatoSpirit, 936 7th Street, Suite B, PMB 236, Novato 94945. (Please mail checks only—no cash please! All mail must be postmarked by Feb. 28 to be eligible for the Rolling Hills Club membership prize.) Those with questions can contact Marian Schinske, NovatoSpirit Executive Director, at 892-5118, marianschinske@gmail.com or visit Novatospirit.org.
