Cooper's Public Market Celebrates Grand Opening

Have you been to Cooper's Public Market in downtown Novato? This new, one-of-a-kind "locavore" grocery store sources all of its products from local farms, ranches, and food artisans within a thirty mile radius of its site! Shopping at Cooper's is like having access to a year-round daily farmers' market.

Since opening its doors to the public on January 25th, Cooper's Public Market continues to attract both regular and new customers who are seeking the freshest, sustainably grown and raised meats, produce, honey, eggs, dairy, artisan cheeses, olive oil, breads, sweets, organic skin care and more. Owner Dennis Cooper continually sources new local purveyors whose small-batch artisan products are often found exclusively at his store.

In addition, Cooper's offers patrons a quality solution to the weeknight dinner dilemma with grab-and-go "Menu in a Bag" dinners by White Rose Ranch. The rotating menu features prepped ingredients for a complete meal and a recipe.

March marks the official Grand Opening celebration of the store, which is located at 1425 Grant Avenue in the Town and Country Shopping Center. Samples and tastings will happen throughout the month, along with parking lot events every Saturday that may include farm animals, a Novato Fire Department fire truck, jumpy house, and more. A photographer, courtesy of Shutterbug Camera, will be on hand to take photos and customers will be able to get a free copy inside the store.

Neighboring Town and Country Shopping Center businesses including Tailor Craft Cleaners, Zenith Instant Print, Marin Hair Express, Continental Jewelers, Marin Fashion, Rousseau's Fine Art Framing, and Farmer's Insurance will also offer customer specials.

Shopping at small, independently owned grocers like Cooper's Public Market supports local food producers and insures you're putting the freshest, quality ingredients in the food that graces your family table. If you haven't discovered Coopers yet, be sure to stop by. You'll come back again and again.
