IVC Organic Farm & Garden Announces Spring Plant Sale Event

Don't miss this semi-annual one-stop-shopping event for all your garden plant needs!

The growing season is here, and so is the annual Indian Valley Organic Farm & Garden Plant Sale at the College of Marin's Indian Valley Campus. This spring's not-to-be missed free event is slated for 10 a.m. to 3 pm. Saturday & Sunday, April 20 & 21.

If you're in the market for organic vegetable starts, culinary & tea herbs, annual & perennial flower starts, berries, fruit trees, natives and more this sale will be one stop shopping for all your garden plants!

Shoppers will also be treated to tastings, live music, bouquet-making, face painting and farm tours.

On site two-hour mini workshops on "Planting the Main Season Garden," led by instructor Amy Ridout, (Saturday from 11:00am-1:00pm; register at http://ucanr.edu/spring), and "Flowers, Fruits and Herbs: Enjoying the Beauty and Bounty of the Main Season Garden," led by instructor Wendy Johnson, (Sunday from 11:00am-1:00pm; register at http://ucanr.edu/flowers) are available for a $25 participation fee.

The IVC Organic Farm Stand, open to the public year-round, has also just announced new extended hours of operation. In addition to every Wednesday from 10:00am-2:00pm, the stand will be open Saturdays from 10:00am-2:00pm starting April 20th.

To get to the IVC Organic Garden, take the Ignacio Boulevard exit off Highway 101, and proceed west to the college campus at 1800 Ignacio Blvd. Drive to the very end of the road, and park in the end lot near the soccer field.
