I'd also like to quibble about the word "home" - you can buy a house but you have to make it into a home.
The house above is not unusual by Marin standards, and there a lot more expensive ones than that in Novato ($2-$4M). But, if we continue to be governed by our city council with their "limited abilities", there will not be much more incentive for any new non-"low-income" building. The CC seems to want to bring in lots of new residents to boost commerce, but "low income" is not a big business booster. By it's nature the people don't have lots of disposable cash. I think this city has an identity crisis, and it is time to reform the City Council and elect new people with a view of this city's future that includes it's current residents. I don't mean $2M homes, but rather anything that is nice and within Novato's price ranges.
