Journey Ford customer honored with San Francisco Bay Area theater award

Novato resident (and Journey Ford customer since 1986), Kim Taylor was honored this month by the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics' Circle.

"The Gene Price Award" (named for the late Gene Price - a former arts editor and longtime theater critic) honors a person who embodies superlative professionalism and passion for Bay Area theater. The award was presented to Kim Taylor at the annual San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics' Circle Award Gala held on May 6, 2013.

Journey Ford dealer principal Ali Omoomy noted that he wasn't surprised about Kim's success. "Anyone with that kind of drive and talent is going to shine," he said. "I'm just glad she was recognized for everything she does for the community."

Kim Taylor has worked towards realizing her dream of working in "show business" from the time she was five years old. In 1999, she combined her education and escapades in theater and broadcasting with her work experience as a copywriter, marketing coordinator and journalist - and launched a career as publicist devoted to theater and performing arts.

Taylor has managed publicity campaigns for nearly 300 theater productions presented in the San Francisco Bay Area, Cleveland, Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles and New York City. She has obtained media exposure for her clients in local, regional and metro newspapers and national magazines; and on local, regional and national broadcast radio and television.
