The Novato Republican Women will host Janie Johnson, author of Don't Take My Lemonade Stand - An American Philosophy. When The government began questioning the right of children to make money from lemonade stands because they said that such endeavors should be subject to the same laws as all businesses, Janie could take no more. After writing her book, she has continued to be an outspoken advocate for limited government intervention in our lives. She brings level headed common sense to her commentaries as she compares liberal and conservative philosophies and the weaknesses and strengths of both.
