Welcome to LCAS- a local non-profit, solving a local problem. Our adoption process is designed to help you and the right dog find each other. Our goal is to place each dog into a permanent, safe, and loving home.
LCAS's Adoption Process: All animals are fostered in private homes. We are hosted for adoption events all over Northern California, but mostly at in Petaluma and Novato, and Pet Co in Santa Rosa. The adoption events are listed on our events page. Apply for the pup you are interested in, participate in a phone interview, submit pictures of your yard and proof of home ownership or landlord letter, thencome to the event and meet the dogs! If multiple applications are received for the same dog, applications that are APPROVED are placed in order of submission date and the earliest approved application has first choice, and so on down the line.
