SIX-YEAR WASC ACCREDITATION

Good Shepherd Lutheran School is pleased to announce its continued accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) through 2019, with a mid-term review in 2016. A six-year WASC accreditation term is the longest term granted by the WASC governing board.

“We are thrilled to hear of our continued WASC accreditation,” states Director of School, Karen Kane. “The six-year accreditation term is a testimony to our wonderful school, excellent teachers, educational offerings, and our community as a whole. Our teachers and staff have worked hard and deserve to feel proud.”

Good Shepherd Lutheran School underwent a comprehensive evaluation and complete program review for is K-8 school throughout the 2012-2013 school year. WASC officials spent time at the School reviewing curriculum, meeting with Administration and Staff, as well as making overall recommendations. Once the WASC recommendations were made, the School had to present a final plan outlining steps that would be taken to meet the goals set forth by WASC.
