PLAY AREA EXPANSION – NEW ARTIFICIAL TURF AT GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN SCHOOL

Good Shepherd Lutheran School is pleased to announce the expansion of their play area with newly installed artificial turf. The previous play area, set southwest of the School building, had become challenging to manage and maintain due to weather limitations and natural erosion. The new turf has made the play area larger and more resilient to rain and weather.  A ribbon cutting ceremony to present the new turf will be held at the School on Friday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m.

“We are thrilled at our new artificial turf and expanded play area,” says Director of K-5, Karen Kane. “The new turf is highly durable and fairs well in the rain, allowing our students to run and play on the lawn portion of our play area even after a heavy rain. We are incredibly thankful and grateful to the companies who made this possible – it is truly a gift that will continue to give to our students year after year.”

The artificial turf was donated to Good Shepherd Lutheran School by Ghilotti Construction, The Dutra Group and Thrivent Financial. The ribbon cutting ceremony will acknowledge each donor as well as provide light refreshment. The ceremony is open to the public.
