The Session Room @ HopMonk Tavern - YEAH. SURE. WHATEVER. (CD RELEASE) + DAVID GRECO OF LA COMMISSION + RANDY COUVILLON

canadian pop | post rock
$10 | Doors: 8:00 pm | Show: 8:30 pm | Ages: 21+

Love and loss. Growth and pain. Yeah. Sure. Whatever. explores these and other spacious themes by pinning them to a wall of sound for closer investigation. Armed with a deep passion for music and an irreverent approach to classification, YSW brings an unexpected voice to the Marin music scene. A soundscape guitarist, a breakbeat drummer, a bass-playing poet, and an ethereal vocalist, YSW's range of influence couldn't be more eclectic. Yet the sounds emerging from this band suggest a deep and cohesive chemistry. YSW invites you for a live preview of their breakout EP, Through The Heart, which will officially release at this show. Yeah. Sure. Whatever. is Emma Beames (vocals), Lauren Ng (bass, vocals), Jonn Beames (guitars) and Daniel Kushner (drums).

David Greco's info:
La Commission, an American band with a French name, requests a moratorium on distraction with their debut album, The Thing About Hearts. David Greco, the band's sole member and songwriter, is not afraid to ask a lot of listeners. He promises a sure reward for those who follow suit. "La Commission is not interested in trying to scream loudly enough to be heard. Instead, we're sitting still, waiting to meet with listeners who want to sit still for a second, too," David says. "It's an easy trap to fall into: confusing art and commerce. I'm doing my best to write the kinds of songs that matter to those of us who prefer beauty to simple entertainment."

Randy Couvillon's info:
Songs of inferiority masquerading as grandiosity.
