Rotary Club of Novato Meeting

Guest Speakers, Jeannine and Matt Heron
Civil Rights Movement - A Personal Perspective

In 1963 Jeannine and Matt Herron moved with their two children from Philadelphia, PA to Jackson, MS to work in the civil rights movement.  Matt led a team of photographers to document changes in the south and later became a well-known magazine photojournalist.  This year and next our nation is commemorating significant events in the civil rights struggle.  Matt and Jeannine will show photographs, tell stories and Jeannine may interrupt with a few movement songs.

The Rotary Club of Novato meets each Friday afternoon from noon to 1:30pm at the Margaret Todd Senior Center, 1560 Hill Road, Novato. Meetings include a guest speaker and catered lunch. If you would like to attend, contact Gary Bramon at 415-250-9900.
