Novato Malaria Campaign Dinner

Citizens of Novato are invited to attend an informational dinner this coming Thursday to hear about the Novato Malaria Campaign.  This new project is an opportunity to bring the entire City of Novato together to do something really good for people in need who are far away from our own little neighborhoods.

Malaria is one of the most deadly preventable diseases still active in the world today.  A child in Africa dies from malaria every 60 seconds.  That means three deaths in the space of a single TV commercial.

The Novato Malaria Campaign aims to raise $53,301 by the 4th of July 2014 - representing one dollar for every citizen of our great community.  All donations will go directly to pre-approved national malaria initiatives.

To get started, the steering committee is hosting a free informational dinner on January 16, with guest presenters to talk about the malaria crisis and ways we can contribute to the Novato Malaria Campaign.

For reservations, contact the Novato Malaria Campaign via All Saints Lutheran Church, 892-1669 or aslc@garlic.com.  Leave your name and contact information, then just show up!
