Novato Dr. Martin Luther King Walk and Celebration Program

Concerned Parents of Novato would like to invite you to our 14th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Remembrance march at 5:00 p.m. followed by our 32nd Celebration Program at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014. The walk will start at the Novato City Hall and end ¾’s of a mile later at the Quest Church at 1461 South Novato Blvd.

We are also making an extra special effort to encouraging our young school age community members to share their talent with us all at this celebration. Our guest speaker this year will be Lewis Jordon Executive Director of the Marin Housing Authority. We will also have on display the only colored photographs taken of Dr. King. These photographs were taken during the Chicago Freedom Movement.
