Meet and Greet Candidate Miguel Garza for Novato School Board 2013

 The gathering will provide an excellent opportunity to meet Miguel, learn about his goals for the Novato Unified Schools and about how you can support his candidacy. 

As a parent of three, as well as an active community volunteer, Miguel hopes to bring his passion for our students and his leadership abilities to Novato's Board. As a Novato's Unified District Board member, his goals include:    

* Make certain we continue to hire and retain the best teachers, provide them with the right tools to be successful and maintain manageable class sizes.

* Work to close the achievement gap and verify that all students continue to excel while receiving a quality education.

* Maintain a fiscally solvent budget.  

* Support programs and policies that help all students and staff feel safe and respected in the school environment. 

 * Work collaboratively with other Trustees, the superintendent and staff to ensure that we are meeting all federal and state mandates.
