Loveable Rogue presents Kick-off event for "The Order of the Magi Treasure Hunt"

Readers of "The Order of the Magi" are being rewarded with a Bay Area-wide treasure hunt that kicks off with an event at Loveable Rogue bookstore in Novato. The prize: $5,000.

Here’s how it works:

The book’s author, Connor Pritchard (co-creator of the hit TV show "Workaholics"), has hid 16 bronze playing cards throughout the Bay Area. At the kick-off event, he will release the first clue and will be on hand to entertain questions about the hunt, sign books and chat with fans.

Two days later (Friday, October 11) the other clues will be released via Facebook, Reddit, Imgur and Twitter. Those who find the hidden cards gain entrée to a party (think Willy Wonka and “I’ve got a golden ticket”) in San Francisco November 15 for a grand prize drawing. The holder of the winning card will go home with a $5,000 check from Connor.
