Find the Right Fit: Career Transitions for Women

Whether you are considering starting a career, changing jobs or returning to work after an absence, this course is designed to help you find the right fit for the person you are now.  You will start by identifying the skills you prefer to use and matching them to new resume descriptions and potential career paths.  Using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, you will also clarify work styles and environments that are well suited to you.  We’ll review local labor market information,  on-line research sites and re-training resources to help you.  You’ll leave with individual action steps and job search strategies that will help you find a more fulfilling career.

The instructor, Joetta Tenison-Scott, has a private career and college counseling practice in San Rafael called "My Career Marin".  She has extensive experience working with adults starting, re-training and changing careers.  She was a Counselor at San Francisco State University, Mills College, and College of Marin, where she also was in charge of the Re-entry program for 20 years.
