American Lung Association Better Breathers Holiday Party

Sponsored by the American Lung Association and Novato
Community Hospital, the Better Breathers Club program provides information on breathing problems and support for participants and their families.

The December meeting will include holiday refreshments and an update on programs and services of the American Lung Association to help lung disease patients breathe easier.

COPD is an umbrella term for chronic bronchitis and emphysema, two conditions in which the airways are obstructed. It is the third leading cause of death in the United States. Meetings are free. The facilitator is Jim Braley, RRT, director of the respiratory therapy department at Novato Community Hospital. Meetings are held monthly first Wednesday of month in the hospital library, located in the west medical office building.
