Put some jazz in your step with Chef David Lawrence of 1300 on Fillmore, who brings a Southern-inspired menu to Fresh Starts Chef Events from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12.
Chef David is English-born with Jamaican roots, trained in France and influenced by tastes from the southern quarter of the United States. He’s built a reputation for outrageously good food and a toe-tappping atmosphere at his San Francisco restaurant/lounge.
His menu:
- Fried Green Tomato Salad, Arugula, Goat Cheese Croquette, Honey Buttermilk Dressing
- Black Skillet Roasted Catfish, Andouille Sausage and Shrimp Jambalaya, Cornbread Panzanella Salad
- Peach Cobbler with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
