Bird & Flower: Paintings by Wu Tianyu

MarinMOCA is proud to present the first exhibition of Wu Tianyu's
paintings in the United States. Mr. Tianyu is a contemporary Chinese
painter whose works
stem from the visual dictionary of traditional Chinese painting but
are fresh interpretations and compositions that reinvent the
genre.This event is part of the Bay Area's Asian Contemporary Art Week
(ACAW) taking place September 19th to 25th, 2013. ACAW-SF connects
cultural institutions across the Bay and features a variety of
programs to celebrate the dynamic of Asian contemporary art practice
(http://www.asiancontemporarysf.org/).
Don't miss the opening reception on August 31 from 5-7pm. The artist
will speak briefly about his work at 5:30 pm. The Marin Museum of
Contemporary Art is located at the Novato Arts Center at Hamilton
Field 500 Palm Drive, Novato, California. Hours are Wednesday through
Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
