Spotlight on the Candidate: Brady Bevis

The November 5 election is quickly approaching. Don't forget to vote!

Bio:
Novato resident and former attorney. Elected to Marin County Board of Supervisors in 1990. Later recruited by the Bay Area Economic Forum to create public-private partnerships between community colleges and private companies in the Bay Area for the purpose of ensuring that colleges teach the most up-to-date skills and education.

Why I'm Running:
"The Indian Valley campus is vastly underutilized. This beautiful campus should be where young people can go to get their 2-year degree, or gain necessary skills for higher paid jobs, or seniors can enrich their lives with life-long learning. We, in Novato, are paying almost 25% of the College Bond with our property taxes, and yet there hasn't been a Novato rep on the College Board for years! It's time to have our campus return to being a priority with the College of Marin, to better serve our community."

Why I'm the Best Pick:
"An educated and skilled community is the best attractor for economic development. I have experience and passion making this connection. Endorsed by the North Bay Leadership Council, Novato Mayor Pro Tem Eric Lucan, Denise Athas, Novato City Council, the Marin I.J., the Pacific Sun, Marin Women's PAC, Novato Toyota, Bill Stewart, SolarCraft, Doug Martin, Fireman's Fund."
