What Are You Thankful For?

Share your thoughts this Thanksgiving season.

Although gratitude should not be contained to Thanksgiving alone, it's a holiday that reminds us to be thankful for what we have.

So you tell us: What are you thankful for this holiday season?

Your family? Your friends? The community you live in? Share your story of gratitude with our readers by adding a comment below.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I am grateful to live in a community that is not broken like Oakland, Vallejo, Stockton, Hayward etc etc....there are issues --but the crime rate is low, education is good, schools are relatively safe places to learn, and there is growth happening in the North Bay..All in all, I am real happy to be a Novato-an

I'm thankful to live, work, and play in one of most physically beautiful and resource-abundant places in the world. Happy Thanksgiving all!

I am very thankful for all the folks who step in to help those who are not as fortunate as most of us. I am very thankful for those who serve to protect this country and what it stands for. I am very thankful for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Great point, Karen, about making sure we sacrifice some time to help others in some way. Best to reach out from our nuclear families and at the very least write a check to your favorite nonprofit. Donating time is sometimes even more important to those groups, though.

Thankful for the ground I walk upon that gives me life, Mother Earth, the air and breathe of life. I am thankful for the creators who conceived me and gave me unconditional love and nurturing through my childhood. I give thanks to the great spirit, spark and life source of all that there is, for the opportunity to be in this life time , for the friendships good and bad, all which have been learning opportunities. I am thankful for being alive today, for having such a beautiful family, and a son I adore so much. I give thanks to all those who have helped me triumph over hardship. I am thankful for all I have, and I hope everyone else counts their blessings today....even those in disguise!
