A lawyer for the Drakes Bay Oyster Co. urged a federal appeals court in San Francisco Tuesday to allow the company to keep operating.

The body of a missing 9-year-old autistic girl from San Francisco was found in Cache Creek near her family's Clearlake vacation home late this morning, police said.


Thursday, May 16

A Novato woman on Wednesday filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The suit alleges that Suhr used his power as police chief to fire attorney Kelly O'Haire in retaliation for her work in an internal affairs probe that sought his dismissal.  O'Haire is a former San Rafael police officer and Marin County prosecutor.

Highway workers paving a section of Highway 101 north of Novato have discovered Native American artifacts, CBS News reports

The dig has unearthed arrowheads and stone tools, among other artifacts that archeologists say were used by the Coast Miwok hundreds of years ago.
