Thieves Caught Red Handed in Homeowner's Garage

Suspects nabbed after a neighbor notices them searching inside someone's garage in middle of the night

A man and woman were arrested early Thursday morning after they were spotted rummaging in someone’s garage on Pinheiro Circle.

Novato police received a call around 2am from a resident who said he saw two people inside his neighbor’s garage who were going through cabinets and the car.

Novato police responded and apprehended the couple, later identified as Davey Cameron, 40, from Novato and Sarah Elgort, 32, from Petaluma. Both have been charged with burglary, prowling, possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit a crime. Cameron was also charged with violating the terms of his probation.
