The council will consider adopting a resolution acknowledging the agency’s housing fund obligation to repay the city’s general fund of approximately $15 million. 5:30 p.m., Novato Police Department training room.

Community Development Director Dave Wallace is to go through a presentation on the progress of the City Manager's Ad Hoc Working Group on the issue of zoning for afforable housing. 6:30 p.m. Novato City Hall, 901 Sherman Ave.
Topics on the agenda include a study on proposed new boundaries for middle schools, the new transitional kindergarten program slated to begin next fall, proposed reduction of certificated workers, proposed budget reductions and a mid-year update on the strategic plan. 5 p.m., NUSD office, 1015 Seventh St.
A five-year financial outlook shows that rate increases will be critical because of lower water usage and the economic slowdown. The auditor-controller is recommending an 11 percent increase for each of the next three years. 7:30 p.m., NMWD office, 999 Rush Creek Place.
Marin County Board of Supervisors
Request from county counsel for consideration of Novato Redevelopment Agency subordination request relating to proposed bond issues for the Hamilton Field Redevelopment Project Area. Also, speed limit adjustments are proposed for Atherton Avenue and a contract renewal will be considered with Novato Human Needs Center, in the amount of $27,339, to provide transportation services to older adult residents. 10 a.m., Supervisors Chambers, Marin County Civic Center, San Rafael.

The public is invited to attend a meeting to provide feedback on middle school boundary study options in the wake of Hill Middle School’s scheduled closing at the end of the 2010-11 school year. 5 p.m., NUSD office, 1015 Seventh St.

(CANCELED) Chief’s report on business activities and MERA, approval of $24,299 in wildland personal protective safety equipment, disposal of surplus computer equipment, committee reports and financial reports. 6 p.m., Station 61 second-floor conference room, 7025 Redwood Blvd.
Novato Sanitary District Board Meeting
Consider a wastewater facilities upgrade contract for recycled water and various financial reports. 6:30 p.m. NSD office, 500 Davidson St.
