Get On The Bus: Transit Officials Add 4,000 Hours of Bus Service Through Novato

Changes result of requests from parents seeking more connectivity between residential neighborhoods and schools




If you or your children take the bus in Novato, heads up.

Marin Transit recently approved changes to bus service that will result in 5,000 additional hours of service in Novato.

The changes go into effect August 4 and include:

  • Direct routes to Kaiser San Rafael, North Gate Mall, Dominican University and Civic Center
  • A new community shuttle in place of the former Route 51
  • Extending Route 251 into Hamilton daily
  • Route 151 to stop at San Marin and Novato high schools and San Jose Middle School 
  • Route 154 to stop at Olive Elementary, Sinaloa Middle School and San Marin High School.
