Owner of Novato Pilates, Kathy Lou Kronenburger was drawn into the Pilates studio in search of healing for her chronic back pain in February of 2005. Upon curing her chronic back problems with Pilates, returning herself to full strength, and caring for her ailing father, Kathy Lou decided that becoming a Pilates Instructor was the right path for her. While managing Novato Pilates for then owner Lisa Sidlow, then owner of Novato Pilates, Kathy Lou became a certified instructor and eventually bought Novato Pilates when Lisa decided to put the business up for sale in May of 2007.
Kathy Lou is committed to helping people maintain and build their full strength
and flexibility in a safe and inviting environment. All Novato Pilates Instructors teach private and group classes. The schedule is flexible and the curriculum is powerful. Clients start with a series of 3-10 private lessons to learn the techniques and equipment. Once comfortable clients can join the group classes. Class sizes are small and intimate and the space is lovely.
Novato Pilates offers a seasonal Holiday promotion of 3 Private Classes for $180 (regular price is $70/private session). Tell Kathy Lou that you heard about the special here at downtownnovato.com. If you are looking for a gift for someone needing help with rehabilitation, suffering from chronic joint pain, or looking for a safe and fun exercise regime to recover strength and flexibility, this is an excellent gift.

The studio is always a pleasant space. Kathy Lou shows local Artists’ work in her studio, so there is always something beautiful to look at. Currently she is showing the work of local Artist, Joyce Van Horn. Joyce has a studio at Marin MOCA and sits on the Board of Marin MOCA.
