Zan Media Taps NPAT For Cutting Edge Green Screen Technology

NPAT CORNER

Novato based film production company Zan Media went to Novato Public Access Television to use their state-of-the-art green screen studio for filming their upcoming immersive language platform. The project calls for placing Apple Computer language expert Kenny Buquen in different locations around the globe, while interacting with prop elements in the backgrounds. This could only be accomplished by using realtime keying elements, which NPAT studios has installed. Says Zan Media director Don Scioli, “Only the latest green screen technology could do what we wanted to accomplish with our expert actually pulling real objects out of the keyed-in backgrounds. The technology allowed us to hide real props like pastries and baguettes seamlessly. To my way of thinking NPAT studios has the best green screen north of ILM!”

Numerous digital backgrounds were used, some animated, some photo realistic. The results, which will be seen in the completed project sometime in 2013, were exceptional.
