Interviewing Brent Ainsworth on NPAT

Novato Patch's editor Brent Ainsworth was the guest of Sounding Board on NPAT. Brent's energy is contagious, taking Novato's Patch to an award-winning status for advertising and readership.

Novato Patch’s editor Brent Ainsworth was the guest of Sounding Board’s program a few months ago, and I thought replaying it here with this blog might help cheer him up during his recovery from two back surgeries in February.

Brent’s energy is contagious, and I can see why Novato’s Patch is an award-winning Patch in the United States for advertising and readership. It was named 2011 Northern California Patch Site of the Year, an honor shared with Albany Patch. Congratulations to you, Brent, for running a first-rate news source!

Brent has some excellent advice to viewers about using Novato Patch to help promote community activities. When he explained the process in this interview about becoming a blogger, I was hooked. I wanted to blog!

The weekly Sounding Board television program broadcast from NPAT has a somewhat limited audience to those who happen to turn on Channel 26 at the specific times of the week of our program. To augment this limited viewing schedule, the Soroptimist International club that produces Sounding Board productions now has its own YouTube nonprofit channel. We think that is so cool!  All of our NPAT television programs will now be placed on YouTube for viewing at any time!

When “surfing” through our new channel, I spotted the interview with Brent. Just after the program was produced, it was lost for a couple of weeks during the move of the studio to its new location, and I never did think it got the appropriate play that it should have received.  Brent’s information is simply too valuable to everyone in Novato to not get more notice.

For this particular production I was the moderator interviewing Brent. Being part of the Sounding Board production is all part of my adventures of starting the next phase of my life as a full-time volunteer following my upcoming retirement.  The Sounding Board series is totally directed, produced and moderated by club members of Soroptimist International of Novato. Our regular programs are shown on Wednesday evenings, Channel 26, at 7 or 7:30 p.m. and repeated on Saturday mornings at 9 and 9:30 a.m.

I invite you to watch the accompanying video and learn more about Soroptimist International of Novato by checking out www.soropnovato.org.  NPAT's programming can be viewed at www.npat.org/.
