Who's Hiring in Novato?
An interesting look at who is hiring and what positions they are hiring for.
With the recent , the city of Novato's community development director, the city has decided to fill the position with two half-time temporary executives for a year.
The positions will report to City Manager Michael Frank and according to the job brochure, will give the city "time and information to assess the organization and conduct a comprehensive recruitment for a full-time permanent Community Development Director.
The position has been broken up into two roles. A half-time community development director will oversee 16.9 employees in Planning, Building, Code Enforcement, and Housing.

The second position is also an interim half-time position and will lead the staff, Council and community to completion of the city's General Plan.
