What's Your Favorite Sporting Goods Store in Town?

For this week's Readers' Choice contest, we ask for your favorite Novato spot for retail sports equipment.

In need of a new tennis racket? Soccer cleats? Skateboard? You don't have to leave Novato to find a good selection of sporting goods.

In fact, it's good to keep this in mind: Sales tax generated by our local stores pumps up our local economy, keeps these small businesses open and enhances city services.

We've put together a list of sports equipment retailers around our city. Now let's check your loyalty. Which place is the best in Novato, top to bottom? Let us know who stands out.

Voting (rules attached at right) comes in two forms: You can vote in the poll below, but the poll is not scientific and is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. You can also weigh in by rating the entry on the store's page in Novato Patch Places directory (links below). A place with five stars will get more points in our contest than one with three. Comments from readers on this story and on the listing are encouraged but are not part of the criteria we tally the votes at the end of the week.

If you're the owner or manager of one of these businesses, click on your place and claim the free listing to enhance it by adding more details.

So here are the entries. If we've left one off of the list, let us know in the comments or e-mail the editor at brent.ainsworth@patch.com and we'll try to add it right away.

Here's your chance to tell share your recommendation. Vote in our poll and then visit the store's listing and give it a star rating.
