The Holiday Season Spirit of Old Town

Restaurants, boutiques, gift shops serenaded on a cool Friday night.

Grant Avenue had a real holiday vibe to it on Friday night. The restaurants were packed and several of the boutiques and gift shops stayed open until 8 or 9 p.m. Santa showed up for photos and Indian Valley Carriage Company offered rides. The business owners and patrons were serenaded by Mondays at 6, a choral group led by famed high school music teacher Emily Gates. A few young girls joined the carolers, too.

We were pleasantly surprised by how many stores were open late last Friday night. Downtown Novato lit up beautifully. DNBA said the stores will open late again this Friday, hope to see the hometown people support our local merchants!
