Support or Parody? Romney Mask Outselling Obama's

Presidential candidate disguises are among the top costumes for trick-or-treating. Get ready for Halloween fun and Patch costume contests.

Who's scarier: Gov. Mitt Romney or President Barack Obama?

Let's limit the reactions to Halloween costumes.

"Romney is selling crazy. We're selling twice as many Romney costumes as Obama, which is kinda surprising," said Kristen, assistant manager at Spirit Halloween Gallery in the Town Center at Corte Madera. "Mitt's selling with both adults and kids. I don't know if that's for a parody or if they support Romney."

Last-minute shoppers were looking for the perfect costume at Spirit Halloween Gallery. Boys and girls are picking a lot of the traditional Halloween costumes, according to Kristen. Witches, princesses, superheroes and especially ninjas are popular with the children.

Kristen advises customers to focus on comfortable, rather than fashionable, costumes. "I see a lot of people getting short costumes and I think they're going to be cold on Halloween," she said.

She also suggests giving the children flashlights or lighted bracelets when they go trick-or-treating at night.

The store is asking customers to domate to the Spirit of Children celebration, a Halloween party for patients at Children's Hospital of Oakland.

Remember, all adults and children are eligible to enter Patch's Best Halloween Costume in America contest. Entries will be accepted through Nov. 1.

Let's not forget about the pets. Whether it's the family dog, cat, or even a snake, they're eligible for the Best Pet Halloween Costume in Marin. Vote for your favorite.
