PG&E Outage Affects 2800 Novato Customers

Urgent repair at electric substation required an outage from Wednesday, August 10 at 10 p.m. to Thursday, August 11 at 5 a.m.

PG&E said it has interrupted electric service to about 2,800 customers in Novato.

The interuption began on Wednesday August 10, at 10 p.m. and is expected to be restored by Thursday, August 11 at 5 a.m.

A PG&E spokesperson the the company discovered damaged equipment at the nearby electric substation requiring immediate repair.

"In order to safely repair our equipment, we must temporarily interrupt service to residents primarily in the areas east of Hwy. 101 and south of Hwy. 37, between the Hamilton/Nave exit and Bel Marin Keys," said a PG&E spokesperson via e-mail.
