One Last Look at the Novato Festival

Chamber of Commerce's art/wine/music bash on Grant Avenue attracts more than 60,000 people to downtown Novato.

More than 60,000 people checked out the 28th annual Novato Festival of Art, Wine and Music on June 11-12, a fundraiser for the Novato Chamber of Commerce. With the help of dozens of volunteers, the event was blessed with mild late-spring weather with some stiff breezes. Sunday's music lineup was headlined by Wonder Bread 5, a crazy-fun cover band that packed in the crowd on Grant Avenue. Check out these photos from Joyce Galt McCarron from Sunday's action plus two videos of the bands that played on the main stage. Consider volunteering next year!

This was such a great event again this year. I enjoy being able to see friends and just have a great time in downtown Novato. Those of us that live in Novato are very lucky. Thank you all those that volunteer time to make this a successful event.

Congratulations on such a wonderful Art & Wine Festival...we were there Sat and Sun and I think saw record numbers of people...great music and lots of fun. You should be commended on a job well done...all of you! I especially loved Wonder Bread - full of energy. I especially appreciated their saying they would do a FREE performance when our theater opens up on Grant and pushed for people to donate to our worthy cause.

I saw Spiro pouring lots and lots of wine. Stunningly it was for OTHER people inside a volunteer booth. Three cheers for the dedicated volunteers!

Terrific event - I think the best one yet! Music was over the top. I love being a volunteer, seeing old friends, meeting new ones, & seeing what the merchants have on display. Great job, Chamber - well done! I think it's FABULOUS that Wonder Bread is going to help with our theater - way to go!

It was a great weekend for the community of Novato. The Chamber is very proud to be the host of the Festival and create a venue for thousands and thousands of people to come to our downtown and meet some old friends, sip great vintages and microbrews, dance to excellent tunes, and browse the 200 artist booths. We are honored to bring this event to the people of Novato every year. We cannot do it without the help of over 400 volunteers that perform many jobs for us all weekend long. If you want to volunteer for us next year , send an email to - artwinevol@novatochamber.com!!! See you all next year!
