Have a Slice of Artisan Cheese Culture at 2 Festivals

This weekend we have a weeklong Sonoma Valley Cheese Conference. Next month it's California's Artisan Cheese Festival in Petaluma.

The North Bay has not one but two special events centered on artisan cheese coming up in the next few weeks.

This weekend, a rising group of new generation and urban cheesemakers will take the spotlight at the 10th Annual Sonoma Valley Cheese Conference, an annual gathering of American artisan cheesemakers, retailers, distributors and food writers. The event runs Feb. 23-28. The kickoff event takes place today at Cheese Plus in San Francisco.

For a lot more detail on the conference, check out this story on Sonoma Valley Patch.

Then, on March 22-24  California’s Artisan Cheese Festival will celebrate all things cheese when it comes to the Petaluma Sheraton. Now in its seventh year, the festival brings together artisan cheesemakers, brewers, wineries and guests for three days of cheese tasting and appreciation.

For an event preview on that one, check this story on Petaluma Patch.
