Hamilton Café Soon to Become Beso

What’s going on with the old ?  Well, if you drive by it daily, like I do, you can see that the interior remodel is still under way on the site but getting very close to completion.

A husband-and-wife team, Leo and Erika Correa, say they are two to three weeks away from the soft launch of Beso, a California cuisine restaurant with an emphasis on seafood.

A peek inside shows new flooring, interior paint and granite countertops. Erika Correa said that they took over the city-owned property and had to start from scratch. Correa said that tables and chairs arrive this week for the 60-seat restaurant and they are also finalizing branding and signage.

Erika added that her husband Leo, the former executive chef at Horizons in Sausalito, is excited about the new restaurant and even has plans to bring a special oven to make a special Peruvian chicken for diners.

Erika Correa is also the owner of Picante in San Rafael.
