Charm Your Sweetheart with Chocolate

Charm your sweetie with handmade chocolates for Valentine's Day using techniques taught in this hands-on class by Chef Luis Realpozo, artisan for Homeward Bound's Halo Truffles.

An aromatic cup of Mexican hot chocolate accompanied by "florette" churros drizzled with cajeta sauce kicks off the event at Fresh Starts Cooking School in Novato.

Guests will learn how to make a simple chocolate ganache and roll it into gourmet treats, then practice their skills by rolling up a pound of their own truffles to take home.

To cap off the evening, enjoy a delectable Mexican chocolate mousse and see what the chefs might offer for take-home sampling. You'll leave with recipes and knowledge to make your own chocolate treats for gifts or parties.

The ticket price includes desserts and take-home truffles. Wine will be available for purchase.
